The Maremma Pack
Yeti
Dad, and the original
Yeti was our first Livestock Guardian Dog, and for 2 years he protected the entire farm by himself. Yeti is a Maremma/Great Pyrenes mix, while his breeds have been watching over cattle for hundreds of years, so has his family line. His father Zeus fought wolves on a farm at the Canadian border, and Yeti has successfully scared off and fought everything from foxes to Bobcats. He can be a little shy, but he loves people jus as much as animals.
Lupa
Our momma dog
Lupa is our girl, she's the heart of pack. She's had two litters of nine puppies each! Our girl is retired from puppies now, and lives in luxury Yeti and her sons, always cuddling with sheep in the fields.
She's a pure bred Maremma, and the smallest of her family, but she's just as dedicated and strong
RZA
The Runt
RZA was the runt of our most recent litter. He's smaller than Yeti and his brother. We didn't originally plan on keeping RZA, but the original farm we sold him too had to give him back.
RZA doesn't seem entirely interested in protecting the farm, he loves to play and snuggle with Lupa, and of course starting trouble, but were hoping he will improve with time
Ragnar
Golden Boy
Ragnar is truly Yeti's son, he has amazing protective instincts, very focus and dedicated to his sheep, and is HUGE. At just over a year old he's already twice the size of his mom Lupa. Ragnar is just a overall solid, sweet dog and has great potential.
